Placing the machine into operation
7 Placing the machine into operation
In order to ensure that the plant/machine always works properly and reliably and to minimize
unscheduled downtime, you must make sure that the machine is serviced and maintained cor-
rectly and regularly.
I WARNING!
Risks due to missed/defective service!
Missed/defective maintenance work can cause the machine to
become so damaged that serious injury or even death might occur
Evenastopped,switchedo󰀨machinecanbedangerousbecause
stored energy can be released inadvertently due to improper main-
tenance work
In order to ensure the safety of persons and the constant ope-
rational readiness of the machine, all maintenance intervals
must be strictly observed and all maintenance work must be
carried out diligently
The machine and its components must be thoroughly cleaned
and decontaminated each month
The consent of the machine manufacturer must be obtained if
you wish to extend the service intervals
I NOTE
Guarantee claims can only be asserted if it can be proven that the
machine has been maintained and serviced in accordance with the
inspection/maintenance schedule
I NOTE
Assembly and disassembly work is only allowed to be carried out
by trained and instructed personnel
The basis for the assessment of dangers is the assumption that the machine has been main-
tained and serviced in accordance with the inspection/maintenance schedule and is in a good
state.
This is the only way to ensure that the technical safety properties are retained despite wear.
