INTENDED USE
Measurement of spherical refractory power, cylindrical refractory power, astigmatic axial direction,
corneal curvature, meridian direction, corneal refractory power, ocular pressure and cornea thick-
ness.
OPERATION PRINCIPLES
REF measurement: Measurement of spherical refractory power, cylindrical power and astigmatic
axial direction is computing based on the reflected image, which is received by the CCD camera,
of the luminous flux for refractory measurement (near-infrared light) projected to the retina.
Kerato measurement: Measurement of corneal curvature, meridian direction and corneal refrac-
tory power is computing based on the reflected image, which is received by the CCD camera, of
the KERATO ring projected to the cornea surface.
Ocular pressure measurement: Measurement of ocular pressure by emitting measuring luminous
flux to the cornea, ejecting air from the air ejection system to the cornea, detecting the cornea
reaching the prescribed deformed state by the reflected beam of the measuring luminous flux, and
computing based on the air pressure value.
Cornea thickness measurement: measures cornea thickness based on reflecting slit lights which
are obliquely projected on the cornea surface and corneal endothelium of patients' eye.
Measurement of pupil distance (PD) by the travel of main body required for detecting the reflected
lights from the right/left cornea vertices.
Automatic measurement function: Automatic positioning of the main body by the reflected light
from the cornea, and automatic measurements performed when optimal conditions are reached.
