4.Secureallthreeenginemountstotheenginemountingbracketswithcap
screw,washer,andangenut;refertoFigure16.
5.Securewireharnesstothefrontlifttabandtheenginewithcableties.
6.Installallhydraulichosestothepistonandgearpumps.Installtraction
controlcabletotheneutralarmassemblyonthepistonpump(seeInstalling
thePistonPump/Hydrostat(page5–81)).
7.Connectfuelhosetothewater/fuelseparatorandfrontinjectornozzle.
8.Installtopfanshroudtotheradiator.Installreservoirandbrackettothetop
fanshroud;refertoInstallingtheRadiatorandOilCoolerAssembly(page
4–13).
9.Connectwireharnessandelectricalwirestothefollowing:
A.Enginegroundstothebatteryandwireharness.
B.Glowplugbusandfuelstopsolenoid;refertoFigure18.
C.Hightemperaturewarningswitch;refertoFigure19.
D.Hightemperatureshutdownswitch,alternator,andlowoilpressure
switch;refertoFigure20.
10.Connectcoolanthosestothewaterpumpandengineblock.Makesuredrain
cockvalveisclosed.Fillradiatorwithcoolant.
11.Installmufertotheexhaustmanifoldandmuferbracket;refertoInstalling
theExhaustSystem(page4–7).
12.Connectthrottlecabletothesupportandswivelonthespeedcontrollever;
refertoFigure17.
13.Connectbothbatterycablesatthebattery(seeServicingtheBattery(page
6–49)).
14.Installaircleanertotheengine.Connectairhosetoaircleanerandradiator;
refertoInstallingtheAirCleanerAssembly(page4–5).
15.Adjustthrottlecable;refertoOperator’sManual.
16.Ensurethatallthewires,fuellines,hydraulichoses,andcablesareclearof
movingpartsandsecuredtotheiroriginallocations.
17.Bleedfuelsystem;refertoOperator’sManual.
18.Starttheunitandrunenginetonormaloperatingtemperature.Useallof
thehydrauliccontrolswhiletheengineisrunningtodistributethehydraulic
uidthroughoutthesystem.
19.Stoptheengineandcheckthehydraulicuidandcoolantlevels.Adjust
asnecessary.
