For higher process (or ambient) temperatures, use instead a flush moun
ted
sensor, where the electronics in the sensor head are farther away from the process heat,
see Figure 60 (page 121).

The refractometer type PR‑23‑
AP‑XX‑PSS is flush mounted, using a sanitary APV tank
bottom flange. The sensor can be flush‑mounted in the side wall, which allows the use of a
scraper. It is also easily installed through a steam jacket.
