7.2.6 Hold and signal damping
The signal filtering (damping) is stopped during hold. The last filtered value is shown on the
screen and set to the mA output (if the concentration output is configured). The following
figure shows this behavior (gray areas represent the periods when the hold is active).

 Hold functions with DD23
The Digital Divert Control System DD23 uses the displayed concentration value in its
decision logic.
Do not use the external hold functionality with a DD23. It could render the
system unsafe by freezing the measurement result.
CAUTION!
Hold during wash must be used with DD23. Otherwise the signal damping combined with
low n
D
values caused by the wash process may give erroneous information to the DD23
after the wash is over.
