Skewed Image
The image is not parallel to the edges of the print sheet.
Initial Actions
■ Check the paper tray(s) installation and the
paper in the tray(s).
■ Load fresh, dry paper.
■ Paper meets specifications.
■ Check the paper path for any obstructions or
debris that might hamper the passage of the
paper.
■ Ensure the Print Cartridge is properly installed.
Uneven Density Troubleshooting Procedure

Does the test print output image
contain uneven print?
Go to step 2. Problem solved.

1. Panic stop the printer halfway
through the print cycle.
2. Look at the image on the drum.
Does the image on the drum have
even density?
Go to step 3. Repair or replace the
Transfer Roller
Assembly (page 8-55).

Check the Transfer Roller for
contamination, even spring pressure,
and proper installation.
Is the Transfer Roller in good
condition (not contaminated) and
properly installed?
Go to step 4. Repair or replace the
Transfer Roller
Assembly (page 8-55).

Look at the print on the paper before
the Fuser.
Does the print on the paper have
even density?
Replace the Fuser
Assembly
(page 8-54).
Replace the Transfer
