4. In the Xerox Phaser 6121MFP TWAIN dialog box appears, do one of the following:
If you are connected to the printer via USB port, select Local scanner (USB) and then click OK.
If you are connected to the printer via a network, select Network scanner and then click OK.
Note: To set your selection permanently, select the Do not display this dialog at start-up check
box. Once you select not to display this dialog, the only way to get it back is to reinstall the scan
driver.
The printer scans to the destination folder specified in the Push To Scan settings.
Scanning to a Folder
These instructions are for scanning from the Scan Dashboard using the Scan Mode buttons.
To scan to a folder from the Scan Dashboard:
1. Start the Scan Dashboard: click Start, select Programs > Xerox Office Printing > Phaser 6121MFP
> Scan Dashboard > Phaser 6121MFP Scan Dashboard.
2. In the Scan Modes section of the Scan Dashboard, do one of the following:
To scan an image, click the Scan Image button
To scan a document, click the Scan Document button.
3. In the dialog that appears, select the type of connection the printer has to your computer:
Local scanner (USB)
Network scanner
4. Click OK.
Note: To set your selection permanently, select the Do not display this dialog at start-up check
box. Once you select not to display this dialog, the only way to get it back is to reinstall the scan
driver.
5. In the Scan dialog that appears, in the Destination section, click Browse to browse for and select
the destination folder. Make any other desired changes to the scan settings.
6. To begin scanning, click Scan.
7. To save the settings, click Save Settings and Close.
Note: The printer scans your document to the output destination you specified. The default is your
My Documents folder under your Windows user settings.
