2. Remove the lid from the tray and then press down on the paper pressure plate to lock it into place.
3. Load the paper faceup in the tray. Do not add paper above the 100% mark (see picture below on
the right).
4. Reattach the lid to the 500-sheet feeder and then reinsert the tray into the printer.
Selecting Paper Tray Settings
Note: Paper type settings must match those of the actual paper loaded in the trays; otherwise,
print quality problems can occur.
To select the paper tray:
1. Load the paper into the desired tray.
2. On the printer control panel, press the Copy button.
3. On the printer control panel, press the OK button to access the tray settings.
Note: If you have the optional 500-sheet feeder installed, you will see “Tray 2” as a tray choice. If
not, you will only see options for Tray 1.
4. Use the Down Arrow button (if necessary) to select the desired tray and then press OK.
5. Arrow down to the desired paper type and press OK.
6. Arrow down to the desired paper size and press OK.
