Check Tray 1 Paper
Load Paper
(Press Start Key)
Tray 1 is out of paper. Load the paper into the tray and then
press the Start button.
Paper has misfed in Tray 1. Remove the misfed paper.
Communication Error
with USB memory
Communication to the USB
memory device was interrupted
while data was being sent in Scan
mode.
Verify the connection to the USB flash
drive and then try sending the data
again.
Communication Error with
(xxx) Server
Communication with the server was
interrupted while data was being
sent in Scan mode.
Verify the settings specified in the
Network Setup and Email Setup menus
and then try sending the data again.
Disconnected from USB
memory
The connection to the USB memory
device was interrupted.
Verify the connection to the USB flash
drive and then try sending the data
again.
Disconnected from (xxx)
Server
The connection to the server was
interrupted.
Verify the settings specified in the
Network Setup and Email Setup menus
and then try sending the data again.
Manual input is limited to
16 fax recipients
There were more than 16 addresses
found with an LDAP search.
To narrow the search, increase the
number of entered characters to search
on and then perform the search again.
Imaging Unit life at end of
life. Replace.
It is time to replace the imaging
unit.
Replace the imaging unit.
Imaging Unit Low The imaging unit is nearly empty. Prepare the new imaging unit.
Job canceled While a document was being
scanned from the document glass in
Scan mode, more than one minute
passed after the first page of the
document was scanned, or the data
could not be sent. Therefore, the
scan job was automatically
canceled.
Turn off the printer and wait several
seconds, then turn the printer on. When
sending multiple pages, for example,
scan the first page and then scan the
next page within one minute.
Memory file full The maximum number of image
data files has been reached.
Turn off the printer and wait several
seconds, then turn it on again. Decrease
the amount of data to be printed (for
example, by decreasing the resolution)
and then try printing again.
Memory full The printer has received more data
than can be processed with its
internal memory.
No network setting The network settings were not
completely specified when the
printer was switched over to Scan
mode.
Before scanning in Scan mode, specify
the network settings in the Network
Setup menu.
No Email server Before scanning in Scan mode, specify
the network settings in the Email Setup
menu. See Configuring the SMTP Email
Server for Scanning to Email on page 48.
