The following table provide typical problems that might arise and the solution for correcting the problem.

Problem Cause Solution
When pressing the
power button the
device does not turn
on.
Battery not charged. Charge or replace the battery in the device.
Battery not installed
properly.
Install the battery properly.
System crash. Perform a reset.
Battery did not
charge.
Battery failed. Replace battery. If the device still does not operate,
try a soft reset, then a hard reset. See Resetting the
Device on page 179
Device removed from
cradle while battery was
charging.
Insert device in cradle and begin charging.
The MC3300x 7000 mAh PowerPrecision+ extended
battery charges from 0% to 90% in less than 5.2
hours at room temperature.
The MC33XX 5200 mAh PowerPrecision+ high
capacity battery charges from 0% to 90% in less than
3.8 hours at room temperature.
The MC33XX 2740 mAh PowerPrecision+ standard
battery charges from 0% to 90% in less than 2.2
hours at room temperature.
Extreme battery
temperature.
Battery does not charge if ambient charging
temperature of the battery is below 32°F (0°C) or
above 104°F (40°C).
Cannot see
characters on
screen.
Device not powered on. Press the Power button.
During data
communication, no
data was
transmitted, or
transmitted data was
incomplete.
Device removed from
cradle or unplugged
from host computer
during communication.
Replace the device in the cradle, or reattach the
cable and re-transmit.
Incorrect cable
configuration.
See the system administrator.
Device does not emit
sound.
Volume setting is low or
turned off.
Click on the speaker icon to increase the volume.
Device turns itself
off.
Device is inactive. The device turns off after a period of inactivity. This
period can be set from 15 seconds to Never.
Battery is depleted. Recharge or replace the battery.
A message appears
stating that the
device memory is
full.
Too many applications
installed on the device.
Remove user-installed applications on the device to
recover memory. Go to Settings > Apps. Select the
unused programs and touch Uninstall.
