15-2 Configuration Backup/Restore
Do not turn off the line card during the restore process, as it may corrupt the firmware and make
your line card unusable.
Connect to the line card with your favorite FTP client. The command for the ALC1024 or SLC1024 is generally
ftp <line card IP address>
at the computer command prompt.
Enter the User name (just press [ENTER]).
User: <ENTER>
Enter the management password (1234 by default).
Password: 1234
230 Logged in
Transfer the configuration files to the line card
ftp> put init
Quit FTP.
ftp> quit
Wait for the update to finish. The line card restarts automatically.
