Procedure to Connect to MDFs
Step 1. Acquire two additional MDFs (MDF 2 and 3).
Step 2. Follow the pin assignments shown in the Pin Assignments Appendix to wire Telco-50 connectors to
Telco-50 cables.
Step 3. Connect the Telco-50 connector end of the cable you want for DSL service to the Telco-50 connector
labeled USER on the splitter chassis rear panel.
Step 4. Connect the wiring on the other side of the Telco-50 cable to the upper ports of MDF 3 using a punch-
down tool.
