Bridge Info
DesignatedRootBridge
ID
This is a unique identifier for the device that is assumed to be the root device (or
simply the “root”) for a bridged LAN, consisting of bridge priority plus MAC address.
RootPathCost
This is the cost for a packet to travel to the root in the current Spanning Tree
configuration. The slower the media, the higher the cost. This is 0 if the device is the
root.
RootPortID
This is the index of the port on this device that is closest to the root. This device
sends frames towards the root device through this port. This is 0X0000 for the root.
MaxAge
This is the maximum time (in 256
th
s of a second) a device can wait without receiving
a configuration message before attempting to reconfigure.
HelloTime
This is the time interval (in 256
th
s of a second) at which the root device transmits a
configuration message.
BForwardDelay
This is the time (in 256
th
s of a second) for a device to wait before changing states.
