Refitting SMB battery
Use this procedure to refit the SMB battery.

Turn off all:
• electric power supply
• hydraulic pressure supply
to the robot, before entering the robot working area.

ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD)
The unit is sensitive to ESD. Before handling the
unit please read the safety information in the section

Reconnect the battery cable to the SMB battery.3

Put the battery unit into its recess while arranging
the SMB cables as shown in the figure.

Secure the SMB cover with its attachment screws.5
Seal and paint the joints that have been opened.
Also repair possible damages of the special Foundry
Prime paint coat of the robot. See Cut the paint or
surface on the robot before replacing parts on
page 201.

Update the revolution counter.7

performing the first test run. These are further de-
