Inlets, detectors, and the oven are insulated
with fibrous materials which may cause
irritation to skin, eyes, and/or mucous
membranes. Always wear gloves when working
with the insulation. Additionally, if the
insulation is flaky/crumbly, wear protective
eyewear and a suitable breathing mask and/or
respirator.
Disconnect the column from the inlet and cap the column to
minimize contamination.
Remove the insulating cup and insulation from inside the oven.
Remove the inlet cover.
Note and record plumbing and wiring layouts and connectivity.
Remove the assembly stepwise. You will need Torx T-10 and
T-20 drivers.
Disconnect the heater/sensor cable.
Disconnect the 1/16-inch tubing pair from the EPC module.
Remove the three top screws retaining the inlet to the GC.
Gently lift the assembly up and out.
Insert replacement inlet.
Reassembly is the reverse of these steps.
Use new O-rings during EPC reconnection.
