Introducing the Wizard
Thank you for purchasing the ANILAM Wizard 900/900E Digital Readout (DRO).
Review these pages carefully to learn how to properly operate your new DRO.
The new DRO offers many features and capabilities never before used in conventional
DRO systems. Two models are available: the standard Wizard 900 DRO and the special
EDM version Wizard 900E DRO. The 900E includes EDM features such as three Z-axis
EDM Mode during the spark cycle, spark out, and **SparkArrest
TM
, a useful safety
feature.
The following three options are available with the 900 DRO.
q Input/Output Module (I/O) Includes a DA 15 output connector, a DE 9 input
connector, and a DE 9 connector for RS-232
serial communication.
q Constant Surface Speed (CSS) Allows you to control the spindle speed to
maintain a constant surface speed independent
of diameter.
q Spindle Speed Display (SSD) Allows you to display the spindle speed (rotary
encoder required).
The 900E provides the Input/Output Module option as standard.
This manual was written with you, the operator, in mind. Please take the time to study it.
