Note: The DMA feature is tested using a diskette to
transfer data between the video RAM and the FDU. The
following message is displayed when the "Memory/Disk
Transfer Test through DMA operation" is running and
there is no memory space available on the diskette.
EXECUTION OF MEMORY/DISK TRANSFER TEST NOT POSSIBLE, THE
DISK IS FULL
The size of the data transfer between video RAM and FDU, using
the DMA feature in burst, depends on the space available on the
diskette as follows:
a. Transfer of 1-K bytes if memory space available on diskette is
less than 4-K bytes but greater than or equal to 1-K bytes.
b. Transfer of 4-K bytes if memory space available on diskette is
less than 8-K bytes but greater than or equal to 4-K bytes.
c. Transfer of 8-K bytes if memory space available on diskette is
less than 16-K bytes but greater than or equal to 8-K bytes.
d. Transfer of 16-K bytes if memory space available on diskette
is greater than or equal to 16-K bytes.
The subtest is skipped when there is no space available on the
diskette. The diskette used with the DMA feature must not be
write p'rotected.
