19. Select the Low-Level Format routine by typing 12 followed by
pressing Return. A message is displayed warning that TEST
#12 ERASES ALL FILES and asks, "DO YOU WANT TO DO
TEST #12?"
20. Type 1234 and press Return. The format routine will take
about 5 minutes. When the routine is complete, "DO YOU
WANT TO EDIT THE BAD TRACK TABLE?" is displayed.
(This procedure must be done.)
21. Type y and press Return. Select the option ADD BAD
TRACK(S.) TO TABLE by typing 1 followed by
pressing Return. ENTER CYLINDER # is displayed.
22. Enter the cylinder # of one of the bad tracks that you jotted
down in Step 7 and press Return. ENTER HEAD # is
displayed.
23. Enter the head # associated with the cylinder # of the bad
track and press Return.
24. Continue Steps 22 and 23 until you have entered all the bad
tracks you jotted down in Step 7. When done, press Return
when prompted for the cylinder #.
25. Select the option DISPLAY BAD TRACK TABLE by typing 3
followed by pressing Return.
