keptawayunlesscontinuouslysupervised.
•Thisappliancecanbeusedbychildrenaged
8 years and above, persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities
and/or lack of experience and knowledge
onlyiftheyhavebeengivensupervisionor
instructionconcerninguseoftheappliance
inasafewayandunderstandthehazards
involved.
•Childrenshallnotplaywiththeappliance.
•Cleaningandusermaintenanceshallnotbe
madebychildrenwithoutsupervision.
•Unattendedcookingonahobwithfatoroil
canbedangerousandmayresultinre.
•Never extinguisha rewith water;switch
off the applianceand cover ame with lid
orreblanket.
•Danger of re: Do not store items on the
cookingsurface.

sincethey can scratch the surface, which
mayresultinshatteringoftheglass.
•Never use a steam cleaner to clean the
appliance.
Operation
The burners on this appliance have xed
aeration and no adjustment is required. The
burnersshouldameasfollows:
Propane:Theamesshouldburnquietlywith
ablue/greencolourwithnosignofyellowtips.
Butane: Normally, on initial lighting, a small
amountofyellowtippingwilloccur.Thisthen
increasesslightlyastheburnerheatsup.

Ensurethattheglasslidisopenbefore
turningontheburners.
Glass lids may shatter when heated.
Turnoffallburnersbeforeshuttingthe
lid.
The glass lid has a tendency to snap shut
towards the lowered position. Make sure all
ngersareremovedfromtheappliancewhen
closingthelid.
Removeallspillagesfromtheglasslidbefore
opening.
Childrenshouldbesupervisedtoensurethat
theydonotplaywiththeappliance.
1. Ensuregas cylinder/supplyis connected
and turned on. In the event of a gas
smellturn offatgascylinder/mainsand
contactsupplier.
2. Flame supervision: each burner is
controlled individually and is monitored
by a thermocouple probe. In the event
of the burner ames being accidentally
extinguished,turnofftheburnercontrol
anddonotattempttore-ignitetheburner
foratleastoneminute.
3. Tolight:pushinthecontrolknobandturn
tofullrate–largeame(
).Lightthehob
bydepressingtheignitionbutton,which
islocatedonthe fascia.Itis necessary
to hold the knob depressed after the
burner has ignited for approximately
10–15seconds,toallowthethermocouple
probe to reach temperature, before
releasing the knob. Should the ame
go out when the knob is released, the
procedureshouldberepeatedholdingthe
knobdepressedforslightlylonger.
4. Iftheburnerhasnotlitwithin15seconds
thecontrolknobshouldbereleasedand
theburnerleftforatleast1minutebefore
afurtherattempttoignitetheburner.
5. For simmering, turn the knob further
anti-clockwisetothelowrateposition.
6. To turn off: turn the control knob until
the line on the control knob is aligned
withthedotonthecontrolpanel.Always
make surethecontrolknob is in theoff
positionwhenyouhavenishedusingthe
hotplateburners.
• Eachburner will support pansfrom Ø10
to Ø22cm; care should be taken not to
overload the appliance as performance
maybereduced.
