11. SPARE WHEEL CARRIER
Unicorn and Pegasus Models
Thesparewheelcarrierttedinyourleisure
homeismuchlikethatttedintoyourcar.
To lower the spare wheel:
1. Removetheplasticstopperintheoor
2. The winder for the spare wheel carrier
canbefoundinthekitbagsuppliedwith
thevehicle.
3. Removethewinderfromthekitbagand
insertthehookedendofthecrankinthe
sparewheelretainingattachment.
4. Lower the spare wheel to the ground,
with a little amount of slack. Pull the
wheel out as far as possible before
slackeningthecablefurther.Repeatuntil
thewheelisinthedesiredposition.
5. Drawthe spare wheel towards youfrom
undertheleisurevehicle.
6. Pivotthetoggleattheendofthecable
90degrees torelease it fromthespare
wheel.
As a safety precaution have the at tyre
replaced or repaired before tting it back
undertheleisurevehicle.
Whenthesparewheelisbeingused
on the vehicle, the retaining cable
could damage the underside of the
vehicleifnotretracted.
Crankupthecableagainbyturningthe
crank clockwise. (The wheel with the
at tyre canbe storedon the carrier
fortransportpurposes.)
Returning the spare wheel to the storage
compartment:
1. Usethecrank(turnitcounterclockwise)
tolowerthesparewheel’sretainingcable.
When there is no wheel attached, the
cablewill needtobe gentlypulled from
thecarrierduringloweringtoensurethe
cabledoesnottangleinsidethecarrier.
2. Pass the toggle at the end of the cable
through the centre hole in the spare
wheel. Pivot the toggle 90 degrees so
that when raised, the wheel will reston
thetoggle.
3. Retract the retaining cable slightly
by slowly turning the crank clockwise
