Openhottapinbathroomorkitchenwithpre-
selecting mixing taps or single-lever ttings
setto“hot”.
Switchonpowerforwaterpump(mainswitch
orpumpswitch).
Leave tap open to let air escape while the
water heater is lling. The heater is lled
whenwaterowsoutofthetap.
Residues of frozen water can prevent lling
if there is a frost. The water heater can be
defrosted by switching on the heater for a
short period. Frozen pipes can be defrosted
byheatingtheroom.
Draining the Water Heater

Ifthecaravanisnotusedduringthe
wintertheboilermustbedrained
Disconnectpowerforwaterpump.
Openhotwatertapsinbathroomandkitchen.
Open safety/drain valve: Lower the lever in
verticalposition;positionf.
The water heater is now drained directly to
theoutsideviathesafety/drainvalve.Check
thatthewatercontentshavebeencompletely
drained(10litres).
Closing the Drain Valve
Checkiftherotaryswitchissetto“Operation”,
meaning that is it parallel to the water
connectionandengaged.
Close the drain valve by activating the push
button. The push button must engage in
position.
Onlywhen the temperature aroundthedrain
valve is over around 7°C can it be closed
manuallywiththepressbuttonandtheboiler
lled.
Truma supplies a heating element (part
number;70070-01)asanaccessory,which is
inserted into the Frost Control and xed in
place with a retaining bracket. This heating
element heats the Frost Control to approx.
10°C when the Combi is switched on. This
means that the boiler can be lled after a
shortertime,irrespectiveofthetemperature
intheinstallationcompartment.
Manual Operation of the Drain Valve
Turntherotaryswitchby180degreesuntilit
engages,wherebythepushbuttonmovesout.
Thewaterintheboilerdrainsoutthroughthe
drainagemuff.

TheFrostControldrainagemuffmust
befreeofcontamination(slush,ice,
leavesetc)atalltimessothewater
candrainouteasily.Thereshallbeno
claimsunderguaranteefordamage
causedbyfrost.
Filling the Water Heater
Checkiftherotaryswitchforthedrainvalve
issetto“Operation”meaningthatitisparallel
tothewaterconnectionandengaged.
Close the drain valve by pushing the button
untilitengages.
When the temperature at Frost control is
below about 7°C, rst switch on the heater
to warm the installation compartment and
Frostcontrol.Afterseveralminutes,whenthe
temperatureatFrostcontrolisabove7°Cthe
drainvalvecanbeclosed.
