Shutting off the Refrigerator
Set energy selector switch (1) to position
“OFF”.Theapplianceisswitchedoff(Fig.43).
•Unlockthecatchofthedoorlockbypulling
andfoldingforward.Ifthedoorisclosedin
this position, a small gap is nevertheless
keptopentopreventformationofmildew.
•If the refrigerator is to be taken out of
service for an extended period of time,
closethe on-board shut-offvalve and the
cylindervalve.
Defrosting
As time goes by, frost builds up on the ns
insidetherefrigerator.Alayeroffrostthicker
ononesidemayoccuranddoesnotrepresent
amalfunction.Whenthislayeroffrostisabout
3 mm (0.118 inches) thick, the refrigerator
shouldbedefrosted.
•Switchofftherefrigerator,asdescribedin
sectionShuttingoftherefrigerator.
•Removeallfoodandtheicecubetray.
•Leave the refrigeratordoor open toallow
air to enter and to prevent formation of
mildew.
