hasanadjustinghandleonit.Never
usesucharegulatoronacaravan.
• Propane and butanegas regulators
arenotinterchangeable.
• Always ensure that the gas system is
inspected/maintainedevery12months.
• Intheeventofareensurealloccupants
evacuate the caravan via the nearest
escaperoute.
• If it is safe to do so turn off the yellow
isolationtaplocatedinthegasboxdirectly
belowtheregulator.
• Ifyoususpectagasleakthenimmediately
turn off the supply of gas at the yellow
isolation tap located below the regulator
inthegasbox.Thenturnoffthegasvalve
on the gas bottles. When this has been
completed the system must be inspected
byacompetentperson.
• Never use gas bottles located outside
the caravan gas box. Do not use any gas
extensionhoses.
• Gas barbecue, always use gas appliances
thataresuitableforuseat30mbar.
Your caravan is tted with a regulator as
standard equipment. This is located in the
caravangasboxmountedonthebulkheadof
thecaravanbetweenthegasbottles.Thegas
regulator has a working pressure of 30mbar
and is suitable for both propane and butane
liqueedpetroleum gas. Thereare dedicated
hoses available for different types of gas/
bottle. They are also available for camping
gasandothermainlandEuropeLPGSuppliers.
PleasecontactyourRetailerwho will havea
stockofthesehoses.
Changing Gas Cylinder
Ensurethatthecylinderisempty,then:
• Turnoffthetaplocatedbythegasregulator
• Turn off cylinder valve and all gas
appliances
• Remove the gas hose regulator from the
cylinder
• Releaseretainingstrap
• Removecylinderfromgaslockerandstand
onground
• Fitplasticprotectingcaptocylinder
Withthefullcylinder:
• Beforeplacingcylinderinthecradleensure
that the tray is clean and free from any
debris.Cleaningshouldbecarriedoutonly
withwarmsoapywater
• Placecylinderincradleingaslocker
• Removeplasticprotectorfromcylinder
• Connectthegashose
• Connectretainingstrap
• Turn on cylinder valve and then
systematically relight appliances as
required
Gas Safety Advice
LPGispoisonous.
There is a danger if all air and oxygen were
excluded. (Ventilation holes must be kept
clearatalltimesandmustnotbeobstructed.)
ThemanufacturershavegivenLPGasmellin
ordertoidentifyleaks.
Gas Leaks
If a smell of gas becomes apparent, the
supply should be turned off at the cylinder
immediately.
Extinguish naked lights including cigarettes
andpipes.Donotoperateelectricalswitches.
Open all doors and windows to disperse any
gasescape.
Butane/propane gas is heavier than air; any
escaping gas will therefore collect at a low
level. The strong unpleasant smell of gas
willenablethegeneralareaoftheleaktobe
detected.Checkthat thegas isnotescaping
fromanunlitappliance.Nevercheckforleaks
with a naked ame;leak investigation should
becarriedoutusingaleakdetectorspray.
Do not operate any electrical apparatus
whatsoever,especiallylightswitches.
Iftheleakisnotobvious,thecaravanshould
be evacuated and a competent service
engineerconsulted.
Avoid naked lights when connecting or
changing a cylinder. Ensure the gas valve is
turnedoff.
Regularly inspect the exible gas hoses for
deterioration and renew as necessary with
approved type (all hoses should be replaced
beforetheexpirydatemarkedonthehoseor
afteramaximumofveyears).
Remember the gas is heavier than air and
