Trytochooseanareathatisdry,reasonably
levelandpreferablywithahardbase.
If you have no alternative but to pitch on a
slopeensurethat,forwhenyouleave,youare
facingdowntheslope.
Itisgoodpracticetochockthewheelsofthe
caravanwhenparkedonaslopeeventhough
thecaravanbrakesareapplied.
Fullyapplythecaravanhandbrake.
Un-clamp and lower the jockey wheel to the
ground.
Re-clamp it in this position. Operate the
buttononthehitchheadandmovethehandle
forward to release the mechanism. Operate
the jockey wheel handle until the coupling
headisclearofthetowingball.

Seriousdamagewilloccurunlessthe
buttonisdepressedrstandthe
handleliftedforwardbeforethe
caravanisliftedmanually.This
preventsthenoseweightbeing
transmittedthroughthebutton.
Re-clampjockeywheelifnecessary.
Disconnectthesecondarybrakingcable.
Disconnectthe13pinplugandreturnittoits
holder.
Replacetowballcover.
Parkyourvehiclealongsidethecaravanonthe
offside.
