Refrigerator Operation
The refrigerator is equipped to operate on
threepowermodes:
•Mainsvoltage(230vAC)
•Direct-currentvoltage(12vDC)
•Gas(liquidgaspropane/butane)
Select the desired power mode by the
energy selector switch (battery igniter type
models) or the energy selector button (MES,
AES). Appliances with automatic energy
selection(AES)areadditionallyprovidedwith
“automatic mode” function. Then the AES
systemautomaticallyselectsthebestenergy
sourceforeachparticularsituation.

• Whenthe applianceisrstputinto
operation, theremay be a mildodour
whichwilldisappearafterafewhours.
• Park the vehicle level, particularly
when starting up the refrigerator
andlling with foodbefore startinga
journey.
• Thecoolingunitissilentinoperation.
• The refrigerator will take several
hourstoreachitsoperatingtemperature
in the cooling compartment. The
freezer compartment should be cold
aboutonehourafterswitchingonthe
refrigerator.
Cleaning
Before starting up the refrigerator, it is
recommended that you clean it inside and
repeatthisatregularintervals.
Use a soft cloth and lukewarm water with a
mild detergent. Then wipe out the appliance
withcleanwateranddrythoroughly.
Keep the condensation water drain channel
freeofdeposits.
Toavoidmaterialalterations,donotusesoap
or hard, abrasive or soda-based cleaning
agents.Donotallowthedoorsealtocomeinto
contactwithoilorgrease.
Maintenance
•In compliance with the applicable
regulations, please note that the gas unit
andtheconnectedventilationductsmustbe
checkedbyauthorisedtechnicalpersonnel
after rst use and after every other year
forcompliancewiththeEuropeanStandard
EN1949.Atestcerticatehastobeissued.
Itistheuser’sresponsibilitytoarrangethis
test.
•The gas burner must be inspected and
cleanedasnecessaryatleastonceayear.
When using liqueed petroleum gas (tank
orrellcylinders)themaintenanceinterval
isreducedtohalf-yearlyorquarterly.
•Keep the evidence of maintenance work
carriedoutonyourrefrigerator.
•Workongasandelectricalequipmentshall
becarriedoutbyqualiedpersonnelonly.
•It is recommended that this is carried
out by an authorised customer services
department.
We recommend maintenance following an
extended shut-down of the vehicle. Please
contactourcustomerservices.
Electrical Operation
12v-voltage(on-boardpowersupply)
Therefrigeratorshouldonlybeusedin
12vDCoperationwhilstthecaravanis
being towed, otherwise the on-board
battery would be discharged within a
fewhours.

Thisoperationshouldonlybeselected
wherethesupplyvoltageofthe
connectionforpowersupply
correspondstothevaluespeciedon
thedataplate.Anydifferencein
valuesmayresultindamagetothe
appliance.
Gas Operation (Liquid gas)
•The refrigerator must be operated using
liquidgas(propane,butane)(nonaturalgas
ortowngas).
•When using LPG gas, please consider
thatthe burnerneedscleaningatshorter
intervals due to the gas combustion
method(2-3timesperyearrecommended
•InEurope,gasoperationispermittedwhile
travelling only on the condition that the
gassystemofthevehicleisequippedwith
a hose rupture protection. The national
regulationsoftherespectivecountrymust
beobserved.
•For physical reasons, gas ignition faults
couldoccurstartingfromanaltitudeabove
sea level of approx. 3280ft. / 1000m (No
malfunction!)
•Ontheinitialrefrigeratorstart-uporafter
a cylinder change, air may be trapped in
thegasline.Topurgetheairfromthelines,
