Levelling the Caravan
Levelling must be carried out in both
directions in order for the refrigerator and
otherequipmenttofunctioncorrectly.
The positioning of the jockey wheel can be
usedtohelplevelthecaravan.
Lower the corner steadies until they are in
rmcontactwiththeground.
Undernocircumstancesshouldthe
cornersteadiesbeusedasajackas
theyareonlyameansofstabilising
thecaravan.
Levelling pads or boards should be used
under the steadies where the ground is soft
oruneven.
Inextremecaseswhereitisnecessarytoraise
awheeloffthegroundforlevellingpurposes,
further adequate support should be applied
under the wheel so that the corner steadies
donottakeanyunduestrain.
Towing Brackets
All tow cars registered since 1 August 1998
mustbettedwithaEuropeantype-approved
towing bracket, by law. It is recommended
that other cars not affected by this law use
only towing brackets designed and tested to
BritishStandardBS(AU)114b,orISO3853.
