Acrylic Windows
ThewindowsttedtoyourBaileycaravanare
manufactured fromhighqualityacrylic using
thelatestplasticprocessingmethods.
For cleaning, use only generous amounts of
water to wash away dust and road grit etc.
Thenuseasoft cloth and warmsoapy water
andgentlyremovetheremainingdirt.Avoid
abrasivecleaningmaterialsanddetergents.
Aswithallplasticmaterials,acrylicshouldnot
beallowedtocomeintocontactwithchemicals
suchaspaintremover,yspray,acetone,dish
washerdetergentandcarcleaningdetergent.

Whilethecaravanisin motionplease
ensure that the windows are fully
closed(thisinformationisalsodetailed
onstickersonthewindows).
Dependentonthetemperatureinside
thecaravancomparedtothatoutside,
condensationmaybeexperienced
betweenthewindowpanes.Thisisa
perfectlynormaloccurrenceasthe
windowsarenotsealedunits.To
dispersecondensationremovethe
bungs,usingapairofbluntend
tweezers,inthecornersofthe
windowunit(preferablyonawarmday)until
thecondensationdispersesandthenreplace
thebungs.
Window Catches and Stays
Turn catch arm to the vertical position to
open. A night vent position is available by
depressingthelockingknobandlocatingthe
catchintotheoutercatchplateslot.
The windows are held open by an adjuster
knob; tightening the knob in a clockwise
direction will hold the window open in the
desiredposition.
Alwaysensuretheknob is unscrewed
beforeclosingthewindow.Failureto
do so may cause damage to the
windowstayarm.
Always ensure that windows are fully closed
during wet weather and not on night vent
settings.
Humidity
Aircontainsmoisture–thisiscalledhumidity.
The higher the temperature of the air, the
morewateritisabletohold.Airat20°Ccan
holdalotmoremoisturethanairat10°C.The
term“relativehumidity”describeshowmuch
moistureaircontainsatagiventemperature.
100% relative humidity means the air is
holding as much moisture as it can at that
temperature.
The more humid the air is in your caravan,
the more energy it takes to warm your van
becauseitisalsowarmingthewaterintheair.
Thismeansitwillbemoreexpensivetoheat!
Agood rangeofindoor humidityforcomfort
and health is between 30 and 60% during
cooler months of the year. Mould is likely to
occuriftherelativehumidityindoorsis70%
or more for long periods of time. Keeping
humidity levels under 50% also helps to
minimiseorcontroldustmites.
