may be in the grill including any plastic

using it for the rst time; use soap and
waterandrinsecarefully.
•Tolight:openthedoor,pushinthecontrol
knob and turn to full rate. Press down
the ignition button located on the oven
fascia.Itisnecessarytoholdtheknobfor
approximately15secondsbeforerelease.If
theburnergoesout,repeattheprocedure
holdingthecontrolknobforslightlylonger.

Ignitionmustbecarriedoutwiththe
dooropen.
•Onrstuseofthegrill,itshouldbeheated
for about 20 minutes to eliminate any
residual factory lubricants that might
impartunpleasantsmellstothefoodbeing
cooked. A non-toxic smoke may occur
whenusing forthe rsttimesoopen any
windows and rooights to remove the
smoke.
•Although the grill heats up quickly, it is
recommendedthatafewminutespreheat
beallowed.
•FlameFailureDevice(FFD):thegrillburner
isttedwithaame-sensingprobewhich
will automatically cut off the gas supply
in the event of the ame going out. In
the event of the burner ames being
accidentally extinguished, turn off the
burner control and do not attempt to re-
ignitetheburnerforatleast1minute.
•It is normal forthe ames on this burner
to develop yellow tips as it heats up,
particularlyonbutane.
•Variation in cooking can be achieved by
usingthecontrolknobtoregulatetheheat
setting.Inaddition,thegrillpantrivetcan
be reversed orremovedtogive a greater
choice of grilling height. Always use the
highesttrivetpositionforfasttoasting.
•Toturnoff:turntheknobuntilthelineon
thecontrolknobisalignedwiththedoton
the control fascia. Always makesure that
thecontrolknobisintheoffpositionwhen
Tolighttheburner,pressinandturntheknob
anti-clockwise to the full rate position and
presstheignitionbuttonlocatedonthefront
oftheovencontrolfascia.Itisnecessaryto
hold the knob depressed during ignition and
forapproximately15secondsaftertheburner
haslittoallowtheprobetoreachtemperature.
Should the ame go out when the knob is
released, the procedure should be repeated
holdingtheknobdepressedforslightlylonger.
For simmering, turn the knob further anti-
clockwisetothelowrateposition.Toturnthe
burneroff,rotateknobfullyclockwiseuntilthe
lineontheknoblinesupwiththedotonthe
controlpanel.Theburnersonthisappliance
have xed aeration and no adjustment is
required. Depending on the gas being used,
theburnersshouldameasfollows:
Propane:Theamesshouldburnquietlywith
a blue/green colour with no signs of yellow
tips.
Butane: Normally, on initial lighting, a small
amount of yellow tipping will occur and this
slightlyincreasesastheburnerheatsup.
Care should be taken not to overload the
applianceasreducedperformancemayresult.
Whenusingsmallpans,theamesshouldnot
spreadbeyondthebaseofthepanasthiswill
reducetheefciencyoftheburner.
