WARNING:
Warning—Only use a wide surface on a wide bed frame. Do not use a narrow surface on a wide bed
frame. Do not use a wide surface on a narrow bed frame. Patient injury or equipment damage can occur.
NOTES:
• Only the Xtend wide surfaces and bed frames have a “Xtend” label, as shown below. A wide
surface must be used on a wide bed frame.
• The narrow (non-Xtend) surfaces and bed frames do not have the Xtend label, as shown
below. A narrow surface must be used on a narrow bed frame.
• Surfaces equipped with the Alternating Low Pressure (ALP) feature have the
ALP icon symbol on the surface bottom cover.
CAUTION:
Caution—Use surfaces with the StayInPlace feature with beds with the StayInPlace feature or
equipment damage could occur.
• Surfaces with the StayInPlace feature have “StayInPlace” on the side of the surface at the foot
end.
• Bed frames with the StayInPlace feature have the StayInPlace label on the bed frame
identification label on the siderail, see “Figure 1: Frame Identification Label” on page 125.
