Warning—The Envision E700 surface on the Progressa+ Bed narrow frame is not fully compliant to the
IEC 60601-2-52:2009 standard; however, it is compliant with the FDA Guidance: Hospital Bed System
Dimensional and Assessment Guidance to Reduced Entrapment [Issued March 10, 2006] standard. Use
of a surface in combination with the product that is not fully compliant to the IEC 60601-2-52:2009
standard may increase the risk of patients becoming trapped. In such cases, the patient must be
monitored closely. The Envision E700 Surface is only compatible with the narrow Progressa+ Bed
frame.
Warning—The following surfaces can be used with the Progressa+ Bed (narrow bed frame only) with
the Dining Chair feature option. Do not use the following surfaces with the StayInPlace option. Do not
use the FlexAfoot feature with the following surfaces (see Progressa and Progressa+ Service Manual
(171748) for instructions to disable the air surface (if applicable) and Chair Egress):
• P500 MRS
• NP100 Surface—flat deck 36" x 84" (91 cm x 213 cm)
• AccuMax Surface—flat deck 36" x 84" (91 cm x 213 cm)
• Accella Therapy MCM Surface P006788A—flat deck 36" x 84" (91 cm x 213 cm)

Message Problem Solution
Not Compatible Mattress—
Not all Progressa+ Air
Mattresses will operate on
some Progressa+ bed frames.
For example—
• A wide (Xtend)
Progressa+ mattress will
not operate on a narrow
(non-Xtend) Progressa+
bed frame.
• A StayInPlace mattress
will not operate on a non-
StayInPlace bed frame.
Install a mattress that is
compatible with the bed. See
“Surface (mattress) and Bed
Frame Compatibility” on
page 125.
If the correct mattress is installed
and receive this error, contact
the facility maintenance
department for assistance.
ACB/UCB not Configured—
The air control board (ACB) or
the upper control board (UCB)
is not properly configured.
Contact your facility
maintenance person.
