NOTES:
• The Nurse Call controls are always lit, visible, and active if the bed is connected to a compatible
Nurse Call System. If the Nurse Call control does not light when connected to the Nurse Call
system, contact your authorized maintenance persons.
• The Nurse Control can not be locked out.
• The bed can communicate these alerts through the standard 37-pin cable:
•Nurse call
• Bed exit alert
• Generic equipment alerts. These alerts require a custom Hillrom cable that plugs in to a
standard phone jack wall plate.
P-MAX INFLATE (SIDERAIL METHOD)
The P-Max Inflate mode maximizes the firmness of the mattress.
To Deactivate
Press the P-Max Inflate control. The green indicator light will turn off.
Refer to “P-Max Inflate” on page 60 for an alternative method. This feature times out after 30 minutes.
SIDE EXIT ASSIST
The Side Exit Assist control inflates the seat section of the surface to assist the patient to side exit the
bed. This feature times out after 30 minutes.
3. Press the Side Exit Assist control on the head-end siderail.
4. After the seat section inflates, assist the patient with bed exit.
To Deactivate
Press the Side Exit Assist control on the head-end siderail.
To Activate
Press the P-Max Inflate control. The green indicator light will turn on.
To Activate
1. Assist the patient to a side sitting position on the edge of the surface.
2. Raise or lower the bed so the patient's feet are flat on the floor.
