to the patient.
Recommended Bed Position to Weigh a Patient
“Recommended Position” means the bed is not in the position that the scale was certified in during
manufacturing. You can weigh in the non-recommended position; however, non-recommended
positions may reduce accuracy and repeatability. The weight can be saved, but will be noted as a non-
verified weight.
Save Weight
The recommended weigh patient position is as follows:
Head angle (A) < 45°; lower head
Foot angle (B) < 30° below horizontal; straighten legs section
Trendelendburg/Reverse Trendelenburg (C) < 2°; level bed
If the bed is not in the recommended position to weigh the patient, press the Bed Flat control or press
knee, foot, and head on the caregiver siderail controls until the recommended position is reached.
1. Center the patient on the bed.
2. Press the Scale menu control.
