BED NOT IN LOWEST POSITION INDICATOR
HIP POSITION LOCATOR
The hip position label on the intermediate siderails identifies the correct position of
the patient's hips while on the bed. The labels are on the top of the intermediate
siderail just above the caregiver controls.
The correct placement of the patient increases the effectiveness of the SlideGuard
Patient Position Mechanism and StayInPlace Patient Position Mechanism. These
minimize patient migration to the foot end of the bed when you raise the head section.
LINE-OF-SITE HEAD ANGLE INDICATOR
BRAKE NOT SET ALERT
The Brake Not Set Alert is an audible and visual alert. When
the bed is plugged into AC power, and you release the
brake, an audible alert will sound, and a message will show
on the GCI screen. To turn the alert off, either unplug the
bed (for transport) or set the brakes.
The Bed Not in Lowest Position indicator illuminates when the bed is not in the
lowest position.
The head angle indicators mechanically show the approximate angle
of the head section from -15° to +80° with respect to the floor. The
head siderails contain head angle indicators on their outboard sides.
The degree where the indicator ball rests is the approximate angle.
The digital head angle display on the GCI screen gives a more accurate
degree of the head elevation.
