Running Setup Using the Loader
1 Prepare BD FACS 7-color setup beads (refer to the instructions supplied
with the beads).
NOTICE Do not use setup beads after their expiration date. Doing so can
cause incorrect setup results.
2 Prepare the cytometer for automatic loading (Figure 8-3 on page 136).
3 Choose Cytometer > Setup > Standard Setup.
The Cytometer Setup Wizard appears.
4 Select the current bead lot from the Lot ID drop-down menu.
5 Check the Lot ID, Targets, and Spectral Overlap Factors in the Cytometer
Setup Wizard against the BD FACS 7-color setup beads label.
Exit setup and save new
setup results
The software calculates and
saves lyse/wash and lyse/no-
wash setups that you can use
with BD FACSCanto clinical
software or BD FACSDiva
software. PDF files of Setup
Reports are automatically
saved in C:\Program Files\BD
FACSCanto Software\
SetupReports folder.
(Optional) Save setup
results and optimize setup
values using
BD FACSDiva software
