If the version of Tessera Remote and the processor firmware are not the same, then you may
update the processor firmware to match the version of Tessera Remote you are using across
the network directly from Tessera Remote. To do this select the processor on which you wish
to reload the firmware, and click Reload Processor Firmware.
NB the processor will only reload the firmware into the internal Flash memory the firmware
is stored on when it has a complete and valid upload.
Tessera Remote Settings
The Settings Preferences are to allow customisation of canvas and selection settings within
Tessera Remote that are stored locally, which are different to those of the processor itself.
Once connected to the processor, the Remote application functions and looks exactly the
same as the Tessera Management software running on the processor itself.
The top right-hand corner of the main canvas screen shows the status of the connection,
with the name of the processor and its serial number.
\
When Tessera Remote is connected to the processor the Local Management app running on
the processor cannot be used. You can take control of the processor by clicking on the Take
Control icon.
Disconnecting from the processor
If you wish to disconnect from the processor, or quit the application, you will be given the
choice of:
l Leaving the project open on the processor and returning control to the processor.
l Closing the project on the processor and returning control to it.
l Shutting down the processor remotely.
Offline Editor
Using Tessera Remote in Offline Editor mode allows projects to be created or edited without
the need to have a physical processor.
