When you launch Tessera Remote in Offline Editor mode you are presented with the Offline
Editor menu that allows you to select a recent project or open a recent project, as well as set
canvas settings.
If there are existing projects already saved on your Windows PC or Mac then these will be
listed on the Offline Editor Recent Projects Menu. Just double-click to open an existing
project.
To transfer a project from Tessera Remote to a processor requires the project to be
transferred via a USB flash drive.
When a project created in the Offline Editor is imported to the processor, any fixtures used in
the project will need to be associated with ‘real world’ fixtures. See "Adding Fixtures to a
Project" on page39 for more details.
Multiple Processor Control
It is sometimes necessary to control more than one processor from the same remote
computer. Although Tessera Remote only supports connection to one processor at a time, it
is possible to run several instances of application on the same computer, allowing remote
control of several processors from one computer.
When controlling multiple processors from one computer it is preferable to use a fixed IP
address on each processor and on the computer running Tessera Remote. It can also be
helpful to name each processor (see the section on Identification in "Processor Settings" on
page25.
Controlling different processors is then as straightforward as ‘tabbing (Alt Tab Windows,
- Tab Mac os) to the relevant instance of Tessera Remote as required.
When running mutiple versions of Tessera Remote on Mac OS it is a good idea to move the
application to the Applications folder and rename the application to 'remote'.
To start Tessera Remote so that multiple instances can be run it is necessary to run Terminal
in Utilities.
Once you have started Terminal, type:
open /applications/remote.app and hit Enter
To run another instance of Tessera Remote type the following into Terminal:
open -n /applications/remote.app
