IP network
—Can b e spe cified in two formats. Th e first format is a.b.c .d/x ,
where a.b.c.d refers to the network and x refers to number of bits of the
network mask. For example, the IP configuration can be specified as
192.16 8.0.0/24. The second valid format is a.b.c.d/network mask. In this
case, a.b.c.d refers to the network and the following value refers to the
network mask setting. For example, the same IP configuration can be
spec ified as192.16 8.100.8/2 55 .255 .25 5.0.

Network group
—Repres ented as @ group-nam e ; group-name refers to the
name of NIS network group.
NOTE
Make sure the format you enter is correct. An incorrect format can lead to access
errors.
W e bDAV Access Co n tro l
You can set up WebDAV folder access controls. WebDAV is a set of extensions to
the HTT P or HT T PS protocol that allows the user s to edit and manage files on
remote Wor ld Wide Web serv ers. Us ers and Us er Group rights can be s et to Full
Access, Deny Access or Read Only. WebDAV access right settings applied to a
folder will be granted to all users who are given access this share folder; they will
share the same access right settings.
To create a new share folder:
STEP 1
Choose
Network Shares > Share Folders
from the Navigation menu. The
Share
Folders
window opens.
STEP 2
Click
New Share Folder
. The
Create a Share Folder Wizard
opens. Click
Next
to
continue.
a. Enter a folder name for the share folder.
b. Choose a disk volume for the share folder.
c. Choo s e wheth er you wa nt to hide the sh are folder in My N etw or k Places.
d. Choo s e wheth er to lock open files (oplocks) in the share folder.
e. Choose whether to automatically specify a path for the share folder or you can
manually enter a path.
f. Enter a description for the share folder.
g. Click
Next
.
STEP 3
Select a privilege level and guest access rights for the share folder and click
Next
.
