You can enable this function when a remot e computer is not able t o connect
to the FTP server using a WAN connection where the FTP server is be hind a
router/firewall. When this function is enabled the FTP server returns the
manua lly spe cified IP add res s or au tomatically detects the external IP
address so that the remote computer can connect to the FTP server
successfully.

Telnet/SSH
From the
Net work Ser vices > Telnet/SSH
window, you can allow access to the
NAS using a Telnet or SSH connection.
NOTE
Only the “admin” account can login remotely. User with administrator privileges is
not allowed to login remotely.
