ComNav P4 Installation and Operation Getting Started
Document PN 29010100 V1r0 - 99 -
1. Set up the adjustable parameters for use in STANDBY, P.STR, AUTO, WORK and NAV
modes which are stored in the P4 SPU.
2. Configure any non-N2K devices such as the Analog devices, NMEA0183 devices, Drives, Pumps
and Rotary Followers that are directly wired to the P4 SPU. After the SPU Setup has been done,
the non-N2K units (such as Analog Compasses, Rotary Feedback, P4 SPU Nav1 Port and P4
SPU Nav2 Port), will be assigned through the P4 SPU with a unique N2K address and description
which will appear on the N2K network. Please note that P4 SPU Nav1 (NMEA0183) Port and P4
SPU Nav2 (NMEA0183) Port are on the N2K network all the time with configurations. Once the
configuration of the Compass and Navigation Source (either through Network Config or SPU
setup menu) has been done, the Compass Source can be switched simply to “Compass Source”
in STANDBY mode or “Navigation Source” in NAV mode.
To
access the Network Config menu, double-press the CMD button to bring up the MAIN
Menu and then press the TURN KNOB button to select.
