109 | R-net Technical Manual | Chapter 3 – Programming
Assign, Speed Limit in Bands 0, 1, 2 and 3 as Operation.
Each input can also be linked to an actuator function via the parameters: Assign, Channel x Up: Inhibit in Bands and Channel x
Down: Inhibit in Bands.
SPEED INHIBIT EXAMPLE
Application: A wheelchair with an elevating seat, whereby, when the seat is lowered, full speed drive is permitted. Then as the
seat raises, 3 switches are operated, thereby changing the resistance connected to the input and giving, say, 50% speed limit to
25% speed limit to full drive inhibit.
In this example the Inhibit is connected to Inhibit 2 input that is sited on the Power Module.
A circuit such as follows is used.
The Inhibit input must be assigned to a specific software Inhibit. As this is a speed inhibit, the parameter Drive Inhibits Assig n
should be used. Inhibit 2 input is therefore assigned to Drive Inhibit A.
When the seat is in the fully lowered position, all s witches are closed and the electrical resistance is a short-circuit or 0 Ohms.
As the seat raises, SW1 opens giving 2.2KOhms, then SW2 opens giving 4.4KOhms and at full height SW3 opens giving a
complete open-circuit.
Programming would be as follows:
Inputs PM - Threshold Levels:
Upper Level Threshold 54%
Middle Level Threshold 34%
