Tilt Module
the status window reads -5°, then null offset should be programmed to a value of 5°. The parameter can be programmed
between -10° to +10° and should be factory set by the OEM as part the chair design. It is not possible to remove a transverse tilt
offset.
STABILITY - ADVANCED STABILITY MODULE ACCELEROMETER
3.4 ACCELEROMETER MODULE FITTED
This sets whether the Power Module checks for the pres ence of an ASM.
The programmable options are Yes and No.
If set to Yes and the ASM is not connected, then the wheelchair forward speed will be limited to the value set by
Accelerometer Error Speed Limit.
If set to No and the ASM is not fitted then no speed limit will be present.
3.5 ACCELEROMETER ERROR SPEED LIMIT
This sets the maximum speed of the wheelchair should an ASM error be detected.
The programmable range is 0% to 100% in steps of 1%.
3.6 MAXIMUM ACCELERATION THRESHOLD, MINIMUM ACCELERATION THRESHOLD, FORWARD
SPIN SCALAR
The effect of parameters Maximum Acceleration Threshold, Minimum Acceleration Threshold and Minimum Forward Speed
Scaler is best shown in the diagram below.
These three parameters set a relationship between the acceleration of the wheelchair and it’s permitted forward speed in order
to maintain stability. Note, in the diagram, the y-axis is scaled forward speed.
Minimum Acceleration Threshold:
Sets the acceleration above which the forward speed will start to be scaled (reduced).
This parameter is programmable between 0.0m/s
2
and 10m/s
2
in steps of 0.1m/s
