Active Self Certiīcates
A self certiīcate is a certiīcate issued by a CA identifying your device (or self-signed if you donāt want the identity
protection of a CA). The Active Self Certiīcate table lists the self certiīcates currently loaded on the router. The
following information is displayed for each uploaded self certiīcate:
Name: The name you use to identify this certiīcate, it is not displayed to IPsec VPN peers.
Subject Name: This is the name that will be displayed as the owner of this certiīcate. This should be your
oīcial registered or company name, as IPsec or SSL VPN peers are shown this īeld.
Serial Number: The serial number is maintained by the CA and used to identify this signed certiīcate.
Issuer Name: This is the CA name that issued (signed) this certiīcate
Expiry Time: The date after which this signed certiīcate becomes invalid. You should renew the certiīcate
before it expires.
To upload a certiīcate:
1. Click VPN > IPSec VPN > Certiīcates > Active Self Certiīcates tab.
2. Click the Browse button. Locate your certiīcate and click Open.
3. Click Upload.
