Edit Function: Edit Image
Edit Image
This function edits the image of the document.
There are two functions, Make Up and Trimming in Edit Image.
● Make Up
Make Up function edits the image of the document with both text and photograph for fine
master making.
● Trimming
Trimming automatically zooms the specifi ed area of the document for enlarged printing and
reduced printing.
Using the provided stylus pen allows you for easy operation.
Make Up
You can make a fi ne master for the document with both text and photographs by specifying the
area for TEXT

NEGATIVE IMAGE.
Edit modes
●TEXT Makes text, in specifi ed area of the document with both text and photograph,
clear with proper density for fi ne master making.
●ERASE Erases unnecessary area of the document and makes master for necessary area
only. For 2-color printing, it switches between "INSIDE" and "OUTSIDE" in the fi rst
specifi ed area by "SWITCH ERASE AREA" mode. You do not have to specify the
area again for 2-color printing.
●OUTLINE/PATTERN
OUTLINE Outlines text easily such as title or product name etc. to give a strong impression.
PATTERN Upgrades image using various kinds of pattern. You can select it from 17 types of
pattern such as hatching.
● NEGATIVE IMAGE Switches the specifi ed image to negative image to emphasize a title
such as reference letters.
● Each mode has edit priority. If the specifi ed area is overlapped with the area in other mode,
highest-priority edit mode is performed.

(Smaller number has higher priority.)
● These image modes are not available with the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) installed.
