7 Replace the duplex module.
8 Close the right hand cover.
Note • When closing the right hand cover, put
your hand near the handle as shown in
the illustration, and then push the cover
firmly to the printer.
Paper Jams in Fusing Unit
The following describes how to clear paper jams occurring in the fusing unit.
Note • To prevent electric shock, always turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable from
the grounded outlet before performing maintenance.
• To avoid burns, do not clear paper jams immediately after printing. The fusing unit becomes
extremely hot during use.
• To resolve the error displayed on the operator panel, you must clear all print media from the
print media path.
1 Lift up the latch of the right hand cover to
open the cover.
2 Pull the tab located on the right side of the
fusing unit to the front to open the inner part.
Note • Be careful not to touch the fusing unit. It
can burn your fingers.
