Dial tone detect (02010)
Default setting is On.
When this setting is on, the panel begins dialing as soon as it detects a dial tone. When this feature is off, the
panel begins dialing a few seconds after seizing the phone line.
Note: There is no Dial tone detect on the last dialing attempt.
To set up Dial tone detect, do the following:
1. With the display showing DIAL TONE DETECT OFF/ON (current setting), press 1 (off) or 2 (on).
2. The display flashes the entered setting. Press # and the display shows the new setting.
Phone options - partition 1 to 6 settings
The following sections describe the phone options menu settings that appear under Partition 1 to 6.
A phone interface/voice module must be installed for the system to use the settings under Phone options -
partition 1 to 6 (except Line fail delay).
Local phone control (0210 to 0260)
Default setting is On.
When this feature is on, the panel can be accessed from a phone on the premises. To set up Local phone
control, do the following:
1. With the display showing LOCAL PHONE CTRL OFF/ON (current setting), press 1 (off) or 2 (on).
2. The display flashes the entered setting. Press # and the display shows the new setting.
Remote access (0211 to 0261)
Default setting is On.
When this setting is on, the panel can be accessed from an offsite phone. To turn remote access off or on, do the
following:
1. With the display showing REMOTE ACCESS OFF/ON (current setting), press 1 (off) or 2 (on).
2. The display flashes the entered setting. Press # and the display shows the new setting.
Ring/hang/ring (0212 to 0262)
Default setting is On.
This setting determines how the panel picks up (seizes) the phone line. Select On if an answering machine
shares the phone line with the panel. Select Off if there is no answering machine sharing the phone line with the
panel.
Note: The Remote access setting must be turned on for this feature to work.
When this feature is on, you must use do the following to call the panel:
1. Listen for one or two full rings.
