Introduction
QuantumX A03031_24_E00_01 HBM: public 23
S MXFS8DI BraggMETER optical module
The module has 8 optical ports, each for up to 16 configurable channels/
sensors. Each channel can accept a Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) signal.
Measurement of strain, force, temperature, acceleration and inclination is
not possible. HBM offers the complete measurement chain.
S CX22B or CX22B-W (WLAN) Data recorder
The module is used for local recording of measurement data.
S CX27C EtherCAT®/PROFINET IRT, xCP-on-Ethernet and Ethernet
Gateway
The module is used to connect QuantumX modules to the EtherCAT or
PROFINET IRT fieldbus, or via XCP-on-Ethernet to MCD software such as
CANape, INCA, ATI Vision, or via Ethernet to a PC running the catman
software.
S MX878B Analog output module
The module has 8 scalable voltage outputs (±10 V) that can be assigned
with a system signal or a source signal. Signals can also be calculated in
real time.
S MX879B Multi‐I/O module
The module has 8 scalable voltage outputs and 32 configurable digital
inputs/outputs. Signals can also be calculated in real time.
Many of the above modules are available as ultra-rugged versions with the
family name SomatXR.
All modules have the following in common
S Supply voltage range 10 … 30 V DC (nominal rated voltage 24 V DC)
S Configurable Ethernet interface for data communication with an operating
PC
S 2 IEEE1394b FireWire interfaces
- For optional voltage supply
- For optional data communication with a PC
- For automatic time synchronization of the modules
- For real-time transfer of measurement data between the modules
S Connector for installation on BPX001, 002 and 003 backplanes
S Status LEDs for displaying general system and channel states
