2. Slowly turn the setscrew (D) clockwise—¼ turn at a time—as you swivel
the caster (C) 360°, until you hear (or feel) a light ratcheting sound.
3. Turn the setscrew (D) counterclockwise 1/2 turn.
4. Put the brake/steer pedal in the brake position.
5. Make sure the caster (C) tire does not roll.
6. If the caster (C) tire rolls, tighten the setscrew (D) slightly.
7. If, after step 7, the brake still seems to slip, check the caster (C) tire for wax
buildup on the tread. Clean the tire if necessary.
8. Put the brake/steer pedal in the steer position.
9. Swivel the brake/steer caster (C). The caster (C) should lock into a position
parallel with the length of the bed.
10. Put the brake/steer pedal in the neutral position.
11. Rotate the brake/steer caster (C) 180°; it should swivel freely. Swivel the
caster from side to side, and check for signs of ratcheting.
12. If necessary, loosen the setscrew (D) to allow the caster (C) to swivel
without ratcheting, but so that it can still be locked in the steer position.
