4.26 Lockout Switch Assembly
Tools required: None
SHOCK HAZARD:
The voltage in the electrical system presents an electrical shock
hazard. Perform standard electrical service procedures before
attempting service within the P.C. board enclosure. Adhere to all
electrical safety precautions when servicing the bed’s electrical system.
Failure to do so could result in personal injury or equipment damage.
Removal
1. Set the brake/steer pedal to the brake position.
2. Ensure that the bed is out of the Trend-Like position.
3. Using the head function, raise the head section to the high position.
4. Using the hilow function, raise the bed to the high position.
SHOCK HAZARD:
Unplug the unit from its power source. Failure to do so could result in
personal injury or equipment damage.
5. Unplug the bed from its power source, and engage the lockout control.
6. Remove the top motor cover (refer to procedure 4.1).
7. Identify and disconnect the wiring connector (A) from the lockout switch
assembly (B) (see figure 4-35 on page 4-66).
8. Compress the tabs (C) on the lockout switch assembly (B).
9. Maneuver and remove the lockout switch assembly (B) from the bed.
