Storwize V5000 Gen1 source systems require two cables per node canister. Each canister
must be connected to each Storwize V5000 Gen2 canister. On the V5000 Gen1, you must
use SAS port 1 or 2. Do
not use SAS port 3 or 4.
Examples of how to connect a Storwize V5000 Gen2 to a Storwize V5000 Gen1 are shown in
Figure 7-7, Figure 7-8 on page 357, and Figure 7-9 on page 357.
