If the volume being created through the Custom tab is the first compressed volume in the
environment, a warning message displays, as shown in Figure 9-36.

9.4.9 Comprestimator
The built-in Comprestimator is a command-line utility that can be used to estimate an
expected compression rate for a specific volume. Comprestimator uses advanced
mathematical and statistical algorithms to perform the sampling and analysis process in a
short and efficient way. The utility also displays its accuracy level by showing the maximum
error range of the results achieved based on the formulas that it uses. The following
commands are available:
